The mission of the General  Department of MPT Karunagapally is to generate high caliber Computer Hardware engineers to meet the global demands. The Computer Department of MPT Karungappally offers premier professional training with an eye on the modern development in Computer Hardware Engineering offering 3 year Diploma course in Computer Hardware Engineering . The department owns versatile and powerful computing facilities. The curriculum is harmonically tuned with today's hardware and software industry. The widely spaced subjects are – automata theory, compiler construction, programming languages, database management systems, data structures, computer networks, operating systems, software engineering, object oriented programming, Electronic Circuits and digital electronics, Micro Processors, computer graphics, algorithms, artificial intelligence, security in computing. Apart from these the curriculum also includes electives.

Both merit and management quota will be filled on the basis of the rank list
